We reccommend partering with local tree service companies or local firewood distributors. Fire wood distributors is a great option for year round consistency.

Alternatively, local tree service businesses have to pay to dump their trimmed trees somewhere. This is a great way to support local tree trimming companies by creating a way for them to make money from thier waste, and creates a steady supply of firewood for you local kiosk.

We typically sell oak in Texas, but depending on where your stand is located there would be an abundance of the type of wood that grows in your region. 

What is a Rick?

A rick is a stack of wood that is four feet tall 8 ft long usually cut into 18 inch to 20 inch long pieces. You can typically sell a rick of wood retail for $200 in bulk, which does not include delivery. If you want to deliver typically $50 per rick.

What is a cord?

A cord is two ricks of wood combined. So double the amout of wood. A cord typically costs $200 in North Texas, which includes delivery. When you buy you typically buy 3-4 cord per load which will include free delivery and stack. You can sell a cord of wood for $400 retail in bulk. If you want to deliver it to your customers you will typically charge  typically $100 delivery per rick.

Selling wood in large quantities retail price such as a Rick or a Cord, you will typically double your  money. So if you sell a Rick for $200 and a cord for $400 you will double your money on average. Plus any delivery fees if you decide to deliver.
